RCSA convenes its fellows, awardees and others for the purpose of building communities of scientists who are committed to causing breakthroughs in one or more of our areas of focus. The conferences offer a unique format and a unique venue which, together, promote creative thinking and collaboration on projects going forward.
The third-annual Scialog® Conference, a national meeting designed to accelerate research breakthroughs and transformative science on the subject of improving efficiencies in solar energy conversion, began Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Biosphere 2 located in the desert 20 miles north of Tucson, AZ. The three-day conference, sponsored by Research Corporation for Science Advancement and the National Science Foundation, drew about 60 researchers from around the United States. More
“Educating 21st Century Students” was the theme of the 2012 Cottrell Scholar (CS) conference, held from July 11 to July 13 in Tucson, AZ. The invitation-only conference was composed of three days of intense interaction of 50 college professors in chemistry, physics, astronomy and biochemistry who are committed to increasing the number of undergraduates pursuing science careers.
