Note: “primary appointment” in an academic department typically means at least 50% time is committed to the department and the determination on your academic tenure is made within the department. If your department does not offer a doctoral degree but you supervise PhD students from a different department or center, you may be eligible for the Cottrell Scholar program. If that is your situation, please contact a program officer to discuss eligibility.
