The application process is initiated by completion of the online eligibility quiz. If the applicant and institution meet the program requirements, the applicant is invited to submit a proposal. Please note the final decision on eligibility is made by a Program Director. If there is uncertainty with regard to eligibility, it is the responsibility of the applicant to discuss the matter with a Program Director prior to preparing a proposal, in order to prevent preparation of an ineligible proposal. Proposals are evaluated by external reviewers, members of the Foundation’s Science Advisory Committee and RCSA scientific staff. The staff in turn makes recommendations to the foundation’s Board of Directors. Decisions by the Board of Directors are final with no appeal possible. External reviewers’ comments are shared with applicants after funding decisions are made.
