Solar Energy Conversion

Eligibility Quiz

Scialog Awards will support a single Principal Investigator (PI) or a team of two or more PIs who are early-career faculty members performing research in solar energy conversion at public or private colleges and universities in the United States. Collaborations may involve scientists and engineers in the U.S. or abroad, at national laboratories, in private industry, or in academia; however, funding is limited to tenured science faculty members within five years of date of their first tenure appointment at public and private colleges and universities located in the United States that offer at least a baccalaureate degree in the sciences. The eligibility quiz below applies to each faculty member who is applying to this program.

1. Are all the PIs on your planned submission faculty members in baccalaureate or doctoral degree-granting science departments at colleges or universities in the United States?

Yes No

2. Will all the PIs in your submission be on tenured contracts by the deadline for the proposal submission, December 14, 2012, and have the starting date of their first tenured contract be no earlier than January 1, 2007, nor completed a Ph.D. earlier than January 1, 1997?

Yes No

3. Does your research proposal fall within the topic of solar energy conversion as described in the program guidelines?

Yes No

This eligibility quiz is intended to expedite the application process and to prevent unnecessary effort on your part. Eligibility for this program will ultimately be determined by a Program Director at Research Corporation. If you have doubts about your answers to the above questions, please call a Program Director.
