Eligibility Quiz

Scialog Awards will support a single Principal Investigator (PI) or a team of two or more PIs who are early-career faculty members performing research in solar energy conversion at public or private colleges and universities in the United States. Collaborations may involve scientists and engineers in the U.S. or abroad, at national laboratories, in private industry, or in academia; however, funding will be limited to science faculty within five years of tenure. The eligibility quiz below applies to each faculty member who is applying to this program.

1. Are all the PIs on your planned submission faculty members in baccalaureate or doctoral degree-granting science departments at colleges or universities in the United States?

2. Will all the PIs in your submission be on tenured contracts by the deadline for the full proposal submission, December 1, 2009, and have received their first tenured contract in 2004 or later ?

3. Does your research proposal fall within the topic of solar energy conversion as described in the program guidelines?

4. Are any PIs’ appointments in a Department or School of Engineering or Medicine?
